Rainbow Six Siege Y7S2 is the next season coming to Ubisoft Montreal’s acclaimed tactical first-person shooter. But following the successful launch of Y7S1 and new defender Azumi, what can we expect from the year’s second season? The developers at Ubisoft have already revealed a few key details, but what else do you need to know? Siege Y7S2 Overview
The Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Roadmap has confirmed the following details about Y7S2, although it’s possible that some of these features could be amended by Ubisoft Montreal in the future.

Siege Y7S2 Release Date
Update 3 - Following a slight delay, Ubisoft says Operation Vector Glare will begin on June 14. Update 2 - Vector Glare has been delayed, with Ubisoft telling fans: "We’ve identified a player experience issue and have decided to postpone the release of Vector Glare in order to address it" Update 1 - Ubisoft confirms Vector Glare will release on June 7
At the time of writing a release date for Rainbow Six Siege Y7S2 has not been confirmed, however, it shouldn’t be too difficult to work out when the next season for the game should launch if we take a look at past content drops. You can take a look at the table below to see the start dates for previous seasons since Year 4 in 2019. As you can see, the second season in the yearly roadmap always starts in June. Given new seasons typically start on a Tuesday, we suspect that Rainbow Six Siege Y7S2 will start on June 14, 2022. In addition, since Y7S2 will require some level of testing, we suspect we’ll see the new season arrive on live servers at some stage in May 2022.

Y7S2 Operator Leaks

March 17 – As per reliable Siege leaker Zer0Bytes we’ve got a whole load of leaks indicating what players can expect from Y7S2. First up, it seems the new season is called ‘Y7S2 Vector Glare’.
In addition, we’ve got our first look at the new operator who is supposedly called ‘Sens’ who will have some sort of new item called the ‘R.O.U Projector System’ you can actually see it in action, just below:
