Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen have now been announced to be making their way onto the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and fans are amped.

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are staples for modern-day gaming, and they're the game for many of us that was our first entry in the Pokemon franchsie.
Now, ahead of their first 2026 Pokémon Presents, Nintendo has announced the two games will be ported over to Switch consoles.
Unlike other Kanto remakes we've seen in the past, the Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen ones for the Nintendo Switch will not include the Johto region.
