Tier List
Overwatch 2 has now released worldwide, and Blizzard's latest entry into the series has improved in all aspects compared to it's original release.
While many of you are looking to see what your Competitve rank is, there's been a common occurance when you finally do get your rank, and this is Bronze 5.
Here's what's going on with OW2's ranking system!
Overwatch 2: Bronze 5 Bug/Ranking System Broken
It's been a common occurance for players once they complete their 7 wins/20 loses in OW2's ranked play, to be placed in Bronze 5, which for those who don't already know, is the lowest rank in the game.
Don't worry this seems to be happening to nearly everyone, and even some high ranking OW players from previous seasons have experienced this.
We can only assume this is a bug right now, as players who have placed in high gold/plat are still stuck in bronze, and it dosen't seem to end.
While Blizzard hasn't addressed this yet, Reddit has had their fair share of comments on this issue. User Historical-Mud-9739 posted quite a hysterical image of the ranking system, which can be viewed down below.
So, if you're brand new to Overwatch, you'll have to play a decent bit before you're able to play ranked with your friends! However, one way to master Overwatch 2 is to check out our Roccat Burst Pro Air.
Update - October 13th, 2022
Blizzard has addressed these issues finally, and have since pushed a patch live which contained the following notes.
- Many players were ranked too low during the first week of Overwatch 2, so we are implementing a boost as players continue to play games for those affected by this issue.
- Players who were ranked too low could have the feeling of being stuck in this rank. Moving forward, players should be able to climb the ranks in their first rank update assuming they’re supposed to be higher based on their performance.
- Players who haven’t ranked will not experience this issue after this patch.
