However, NetEase has gone ahead and added a new item into the game, and it has already caused a bit of controversy among players.
In short, the new Chrono Shield item can be activated in Ranked if you're Gold or below, and it'll negate any loss of points you may incur during the next match. This item is already in effect during a losing streak, but now, players will be able to use them whenever they want in these ranks.
