We’re well underway into the 16th season of League of Legends, and all this said, it doesn’t appear Riot is going to stop anytime soon with the patches.
One topic that has been hot in the community as of late has been the reveal and upcoming release of the WASD movement.

League is always evolving, and this has been especially relevant over the course of 2025, as there's been some significant changes. Various champion reworks, and an entire new seasonal formula have been the main highlights.
However, WASD movement is something that has been talked about in the community for quite some time, and Riot recently posted a developer's blog talking about the upcoming addition of the mechanic.
Regarding a release date, you'll be glad to know that WASD is currently live in-game for players to turn on, and see if they like this new addition to the game.
