Mewgenics is the first game of 2026 to really come out of nowhere and immediately become an instant success.
Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel have now released on the game on Steam, and we're going to run over all we know about the game coming to other platforms.

Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel are the two focal point developers behind Mewgenics, with the former being best known for their work on The Binding of Issac and Super Meat Boy.
Mewgenics has been a blast, but similar to The Binding of Issac, the game has only been released on Steam for the time being.
However, the developers confirmed in a Steam blog posted before the game released, that they are indeed working on console ports for sometime in 2026.
"Tyler will be working on gamepad support to make sure we fully support the Steam Deck, as well as preparing the game for console ports next year!"
