God of War Ragnarok may not have won Game of The Year in 2022, but it won numerous awards and captivated the gaming industry with its stellar gameplay and story.
While it seems the story of Kratos is complete for the time being, until we at least venture into a new area; Santa Monica Studios has reportedly been working on DLC claim leaks.
Here’s what we know.
God of War Ragnarok DLC May Be Separate Game, According to Leaks
The latest report comes from Insider Gaming, who cite a Spanish Areajugones, who has been known for leaking some factual news in the past.
According to the report, they intend on releasing the DLC in the form of a brand new game, similar to how Insomniac Games handled the Miles Morales release back in 2020.
This is a fantastic way to bridge the gap between releases, as it gives fans something to play in the downtime while we speculate where Kratos and Atreus will venture next.
In terms of when this could be announced, we suspect it’ll be before the end of the year if this is true. The annual Game Awards is being hosted in Los Angeles on December 7, and this is typically developers last shot to announce anything major before the end of the year.
So, keep your eyes peeled on this event!
