| September 24 - For Honor Crossover? |
The DBD Leaks Twitter account – which in the past has been pretty accurate with leaks ahead of time – has outright stated that the new chapter (chapter 26) is “inspired on [the] For Honor franchise” Most fans have suggested that we could see Apollyon from For Honor as the new killer. Apollyon is the main antagonist of the For Honor Story Campaign and serves as the final boss of the Samurai Story and, the entire Campaign. As a brutal warlord with a troubling backstory that deals in revenge, hatred, and death, she certainly fits the bill as someone the entity might recruit. Hopefully, we’ll find out more soon in the coming months. |
| August 5 - A Licensed Knight? |
According to Dead By Daylight YouTuber Schmuckles, the rumoured Knight killer coming in Season 26 won’t be original, but actually a licensed killer. It sounds interesting, we wonder if there’s any potential for a crossover with Ubisoft’s For Honor series which has already seen DBD killers arrive in For Honor as part of a Halloween event. DBD Chapter 26 Leaks
Whilst it looks as though Chapter 25 could be another Resident Evil inspired content drop, the small slither of info we have about Chapter 26 suggests it will have an original killer. Which would make sense if the team are looking to keep mixing things up.
That said, the only concrete lead we have thus far is that the Killer will be called ‘The Knight’, although that’s all we do know so far. We doubt this is going to be a For Honor crossover, but we wouldn’t put it past the Behavior Interactive team to spin up some sort of twisted killer from Medieval times to do The Entity’s bloodthirsty misdeeds. We can already picture the slightly gruesome Mori now, perhaps reminiscent of when Mel Gibson got hung drawn and quartered in Braveheart. Plus, who wouldn’t love a medieval-inspired map, with big hay bundles, horse-drawn carriages and pallets a-plenty to knock over.
Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but hopefully we’ll see more details leak from the PTR in the coming weeks and months.
Dead By Daylight Chapter 26 Release Date
At the time of writing, there is no official release date for Dead By Daylight Chapter 26 and to be quite honest we probably won’t get one for some time.
However, when it comes to new Dead By Daylight content and chapters, the game runs more or less like clockwork, with each chapter lasting roughly three months, so working out when Chapter 26 will drop isn’t too difficult to predict. With this in mind, let’s do the math.
Chapter 26 should arrive roughly three months time after Chapter 25. Most chapters last around 80 to 99 days. It seems likely we should get Chapter 26 towards the end of November or the first week of December. Our best guess is that Dead By Daylight Chapter 26 will start on 24 November 2022, or 1 December 2022.
